General Terms of Use

This is version 1.0, 24 October 2026, for everyone who uses the site. Coaches with an account also have the Members’ Terms of Use.

These terms apply to everyone who uses The Executive Coaching Alliance website (“the site”). By using the site, you accept them. They are written in plain English.

1. Who runs the site

The site is owned and run by Dan Margetts Consulting and Coaching, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42133078, VAT number NL005521144B64 (“we”, “us”).

2. What the site is

The site presents independent executive coaches who use the shared name “The Executive Coaching Alliance”. The Alliance is not a company, an association, a partnership or any other legal entity.

Each coach runs their own practice. If you engage a coach, your agreement is with that coach, on their terms and fees. We are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for the coaching or other services a coach provides.

3. Information on the site

The information on the site is for general information only. It is not professional advice. Coaches write their own profiles and are responsible for them, including their qualifications and experience. We do our best to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee that every detail is complete or current.

4. Enquiries

If you send an enquiry through our contact form, we may pass it to the coach or coaches best placed to help. How we handle your details is explained in our privacy notice.

5. Events and charity auctions

• Events shown on the site are run by the coaches who host them. Booking is handled by the booking service each event links to, on that service’s terms and the host’s.
• Coaching won at a charity auction is provided by the coaches named for that auction, on the terms shown on the auction’s page and when you redeem the prize. The charity runs the auction itself, on its own terms.

6. Using the site properly

You must not:

• use the site for anything unlawful;
• copy, scrape or harvest the site or the coaches’ details, or use them to send unsolicited marketing;
• try to get round the site’s security, or disrupt or overload it;
• send anything through our forms that is misleading, offensive or harmful.

7. Who owns the content

We own the site, its software and design, and the content we write for it. Each coach owns their own profile content. You may view, download and print pages for your own use, but you may not copy or reuse the content for any other purpose without permission.

8. Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as coaches’ own sites, booking services and charities. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.

9. Liability

We provide the site as it is and as available, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, or for the services coaches provide. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

10. Coaches with an account

Coaches who have an account on the site also agree to our Members’ Terms of Use, which they can read in the members’ area.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The version on this page is the one that applies.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be decided by the competent court in Amsterdam. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection the law of your own country gives you.
